Midtown’s requirements are in place to ensure a safe and healthy environment for both pets and staff.

First and foremost, all pets coming to Midtown must be healthy, for both the purposes of your pet as well as the other dogs and cats at our facility. Please review the requirements below, and we encourage you to review your vet records or call your vet to verify current vaccinations!

Please note that it is best to administer vaccinations at least a few days before coming to Midtown or any kennel.  First, this gives the vaccination time to incubate and thus better protect your pet.  Additionally, some pets may have negative reactions to vaccinations shortly after they are administered.

Requirements for All Dogs (Boarding, Boarding, & Daycare):

Current on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
At least 3 months old, although 4 months of age is encouraged for the health of your pet.  Puppies are still developing their immune systems at an early age, thus there is a slightly higher risk factor for young puppies in any kennel environment.

Additional Requirements for Boarding and Daycare Dogs:

Spayed or neutered if over 7 months
Must not exhibit aggressive behavior towards other dogs or people
Must play well and socialize well with other dogs

All new dogs come in for a free evaluation day. The behavior evaluation is a full day of daycare provided free of charge. During the evaluation, our trained staff will introduce you dog into the play environment and observe how he or she behaves in a social setting. This process not only helps us to ensure the safety and compatibility of all dogs visiting Midtown, but acclimates your dog to our environment.

Evaluations are by appointment. Once your dog completes the evaluation, you are free to book boarding and daycare reservations as needed!

Cat Requirements (Grooming only):

Current on Rabies and FVRCP
